Phone number and new house

I finally got a local prepaid card form my cell phone yesterday. From now on, you can call or message me: 0062-8174702376

I am looking forward to hearing from you!!

I’m sorry I haven’t really updated the Blog yet – the internet connection in Bali is terribly slow!

We spent the last couple of days searching for houses, lying at the pool, walking on the beach, going out for dinner (last night we had 2 Nasi Goreng Special with Shrimp, a Cesar Salad [guess how had that one!?!?!? ;-)], Garlic Bread, 4 beer, 2 Coke for less than 10€ - and that was in a nice restaurant; you usually get it cheaper at the Warongs) and drinking cocktails.

I met my friend Marcella and her German boyfriend Sven last night. Sven moved to Bali 3 years ago. Marcella is actually from Jacarta, but now lives and works here in Bali. They are fun and they are helping me out with a lot of things.

Today, we went on another house search. We had really good luck and found a nice house that we will rent. A French lady lived there for the last 2 years. She is going back to France (I guess, her English was way worse than mine…) at the end of August. We can move in there on the 31st, so we will be in the Bali Mandira Hotel until Wednesday, then move to a Cottage in Kuta and then move into the house next Thursday. The house has 3 bedrooms (with parquet floor / stone floor – way better than anything we’ve seen before), one is not really a room but a big area on the “2nd floor”. Check out the pictures next week. It also has a small pool, a kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms and a big living area.

Until then, check out the pictures from our hotel and the beach:

... and I can have that every day for the next
3 1/2 months....

Hope you are all doing good. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
